One of the groups that exists in Loah is the Sons of Vitae.
Founded long ago, the Sons of Vitae were originally part of another larger organization. One that existed to safeguard knowledge and mankind from external threats, this mother group are the ones thought to be responsible for the building of the great library at Alexandria, as well as Stonehenge, the University of Sankore, and the Library of Rhodes which was said to be a front for studies of the manipulation of massive amounts of magic.
Sometime between the founding of Greece and the fall of Rome, All the senior elders and indoctrined members were killed. Rumor holds that their struggle was the true cause for the burning of Rome. A few young initiates were the only survivors. Without access to any of the secrets or advanced knowledge the initiates could not continue on and founded the Sons of Vitae in its stead, resolving to better protect knowledge and humanity than their predecessors.
Now they have members in most developed countries with safe-houses across the globe searching to expand their knowledge and expertise to better stand against whatever threats may come.
